Jacque Davis has posted a bunch of really cute novelty designs, reminiscent of iron-on transfers from the 1940’s. This one, featuring treats for a summer barbeque, would look great on a kitchen towel or picnic table runner.
This Mandala design by Nicole Raisin Stern is for coloring, but would make a fabulous embroidery pattern! Outline the shapes with Stem Stitch and then “color” them with filling stitches.
Needlecrafter.com has a list of free patterns, including this gorgeous summer sun.
