Stitch Pink Update – Dozens of Pretty Blocks Received!

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Hi Everyone.

I’m so excited! To date, we have received 44 Stitch Pink blocks for the auction quilt!  This is amazing, and it’s wonderful to have so many of you participating in this event to help fight breast cancer.

We’ve spread a few of them out on the conference table for a quick photo.

If you would like to stitch a block for the auction quilt, there are 3 blocks to choose from (the block with the initial “L” was a sweet surprise from a stitcher, however it is not included on the free patterns page). Patterns include the pink flower, pink crown, and pink ribbon and are stitched in a variety of DMC Embroidery Threads on 14-count Aida.

The due date for all blocks is November 15th, so there’s still time to get your blocks in and participate in the auction quilt event.

Thank you, DMC Pink Stitchers! ~Emma

I’m hoping the next one will be to benefit heart research, as it is the #1 killer of women in this country. If I had known the symptoms myself, I would have been treated years ago. I lost two friends last year who didn’t even know they had heart disease.

An awesome suggestion Judy – Heart Disease can often be undiagnosed in women due to symptoms being different than those of heart disease in men. Thanks for sharing. ~Emma

Hi Bea – the blog you were reading was from November 10th. I’m sure we received it and it’s being stitched into the quilt – which will be unveiled soon. Thanks for asking!
