Where can we purchase the kit?
I love buying pink products and I love DMC. Will the kit be available in Australia?
Where can we purchase one of these kits?????
They will be available at JoAnn stores any day now – and definitely by the end of this month.
Hi Diana,
The kit is only available in the US at this time. Sorry…
~Emma
Only available in the US!?! Pah!!! What about those of us that WANT to support Breast Cancer in our own countries???
I don’t have a JoAnn’s where I live. I’ve asked my sister to purchase one for me.
Hi Marian,
Have you checked with local needlework retailers in your part of the world? They may know of a similar campaign to benefit breast cancer research in your country. If not, it’s a perfect opportunity for you to lead such a worthwhile event. Let us know what you find out, and we’ll help spread the word!
~Emma
Will these be available at Michael’s too?
I’ll be purchasing several of these, and will send one to my sister in Mexico City. You know, as a breast cancer survivor, this is near and dear to me and I appreciate the time and effort DMC is putting into this.
I understand every country has their own programs and this is an American event. I hope other countries including my own native country will do something similar.
These will only be available at JoAnn stores. Thanks for asking!
Just saw this information at About.com/cross stitch. How exciting and what a beautiful pattern. I printed it off and will pick up the variations threads tomorrow. Not sure how large the final block should be when stitched but will leave plenty around the edge for trimming and stitching.
Maybe Marian from Australia can order the kit online from JoAnn.
Ineather – unfortunately JoAnn’s online doesn’t like shipping internationally. I’ve looked at this as I live in New Zealand.
I really wish this was available in Canada I’d purchase one for myself and my mother. I was looking on the Jo-Anne’s website to see if I could order this online but I don’t even see it online. =(
hi……i live in PAKISTAAN.i like cros stich i want make different but unfortunatly DMC not available in PAKISTAN.some time ago i made many by ANCHOR but now KITS are not available so i can just see ur designs can not make it.
ASMAA.CHAUDHRY.
Dear Emma, I live in Hungary, Europe, and cannot purchase the kit itself, but I can buy all the given floss and canvas. Can I support you with only sending my finished work, without purchasing the kit? Thanks, Cricket
Hi Cricket. Thank you for the message. You do not need to purchase the kit to participate. We would love to recieve a block from Hungary!
Can you submit your own design for the quilt? If so, what are the rules (size, count, color, etc.)? I have something in mind to do for a quilt block, but I didn’t know if you only had to do what you have talked about. By the way, I just ordered my kit because my sister and cousin are breast cancer survivors.

Sure is a stitchers heaven. lovely needlepoint, and looks like a great deal of supplies
bye for now and have a great day
Hi Sue,
For consistency, we would like to stick with the 3 designs posted. However, if you wish to design a piece, I would love to showcase it in the blog!
~Emma
Hi Sue,
I’ve now moved on from stitching the pink flower blocks to the Distance Queen Pink crown but am having trouble obtaining the ‘Memory Thread’ – DMC do not it priced. Is there anywhere in Vermont that I can get it, or, is there somewhere on-line in the USA that I can purchase on-line and get my daughter to ship it down here to me in Australia??
Thanks, Deanna
Is the kit available in Galveston or Brownsville Texas? If it is do u know where, so I can get my sister or my son to send it to me here in Australia.
My sister got her clear of B Cancer and is doing good.. Thanks, Nora
Hi Nora – the kits are available at JoAnn Stores or online in the DMC store.
Sue, the Memory Thread is available at many independent needlework retailers as well as Michaels stores and Hobby Lobby. A good online source for Memory Thread is Herrschner’s
I have a question.
Why did DMC choose only cross stitch/needlepoint designs? There are others out there who embroider, and might like to contribute, but who do not do needlepoint/cross stitch. Thanks
We have one person who is creating a surface embroidered version of the floral block. Feel free to be creative. ~Emma
Is this kit still available? Thanks!
