Recycled Winter Wreaths

Friday, December 28, 2012

Christmas may be over, but the holiday season is still upon us and a pretty winter wreath won’t look out of place on your door. Click each photo to visit each post, and many thanks to the talented crafters who created these inspiring posts!

What I love most about these wreath ideas is how easy it is to modify them to use what you have, and add embroidered elements with DMC embroidery floss, felt, or yarn. And what better way to use up the extra little things you may have laying around after the holidays….

Like wrapping paper and greeting cards

Ribbon and fabric strips from leftover crafting…

Winecorks from lovely nights of celebrating…

Extra paper cups

Acorns you’re tired of sweeping up…

Cheap paperbacks who have seen their last useful days…

Even lima beans and extra buttons can make a lovely winter wreath…

Lastly, use leftover tissue paper or butcher paper to make this simple and gorgeous wreath…

Best wishes from DMC as we near the end of this crafting year – I hope these ideas give you lovely ways to use what you have, reflect on the blessings of the season, and craft together!
