Look for the Helpers

Friday, December 21, 2012

This morning I was all set to share holiday wreath ideas with you, but in light of the tragedy that occurred last week in Sandy Hook, and all the people across the US and the world who will take a moment this day to remember the lives that were lost, I thought I’d share something else with you…

This sweet pattern was designed by the cross-stitching geniuses at Wee Little Stitches and is being offered in the Kitschy Digitals store:

Danielle gives more details about the memorial pattern, which features a quote attributed to Mr. Rogers,  on her blog. She will donate 100% of the proceeds of this pattern to 2 charities – the Sandy Hook School Support Fund and the NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness). I think this is a wonderful way to remember the fallen lives in a positive way – and as we look for the helpers, may we all remember that we are the helpers, too!

Hope your holiday is proving to be blessed and bright! Happy crafting!
