There may not be a chill in the air yet, but the change of seasons is almost upon us! Here at DMC we’ll be doing our best to keep you on track with your holiday stitching – so why not get a head start on some Halloween cross stitching?
I love that all you need is one skein of thread and dark aida – if you used light aida, light blue threads, and left off the nose, you could also do a “good witch” version.
If a cute, Kawaii style cross stitch is more your speed, how about these adorable free Kawaii monster patterns on Kawaiiblythe?
In addition to Frankie here, there are adorable versions of costumed cuties like the Bride of Frankenstein, Zombie, Dracula, Mummy, Ghost, Pumpkin, Witch, Spider, and Cat, all designed by Selina Green.
Another quick and adorable stitch is this free Halloween cat pattern by Lynn B. on Happiness is Cross Stitching.
All you’ll need is a light colored thread and dark Aida cloth.
This free Boo! pattern by Jana on Scatter Sunshine is also as quick and easy as it is adorable.
Using just a few shades of DMC floss and fabric, this would make an adorable greeting for trick or treaters at your door – either framed on its own, or maybe as the centerpiece of a nice fall wreath. Sweet!
This free All Hallows Eve pattern by Pamela on Our Pioneer Homestead is a beautiful, elegant piece to stitch, and pretty enough to leave out year round, in my opinion.
Have we inspired any spooky cross stitch plans for you? Stay tuned for more fall themed posts in the month to come!
