For me, November is a month of gratitude, and I love the posts I’ve seen around the internet encouraging bloggers to post daily in November, one thing that they’re thankful for. I’m thankful for more than one thing, however – I’m thankful for the safety of all of the families who work here at DMC, all of our readers and shopkeepers in the path of the storm, and last but not least, the spirit of creativity that brings us all together.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, how about a sweet, Fall-themed roundup?
Check out these adorable “interested owls” – a free pattern by Penelope Waits.
This free felt napkin ring tutorial by Heather Bailey looks like a quick stitch and a pretty way to accent holiday tables….
This pretty oak leaf border is from a vintage pattern shared on Helimadoe, a blog on traditional Ukrainian motifs.
I was fascinated by the history of the oak leaf motif, read the post for more patterns and some historical tidbits!
This little hoop by Heidi from Hands Occupied reminds us all to take our trip to the polls!
Lastly, this Thanksgiving sampler by Wendi Gratz of Shiny Happy World reminds me of the things that are really important, that really make every moment “as good as a feast” – family, friends, and loved ones.
To everyone out there in the wake of the storm, may you stay dry, warm, and inspired this week. To those of you who worry for loved ones, I hope that moments spent crafting may bring you a measure of comfort and peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
