More Easter Embroidery

While we’re on the subject of Easter Eggs, check out this awesome 3-Dimensional Embroidered Egg from Wendi Gratz over at the Shiny Happy World blog.

Each of the 4 sides of the eggs are embroidered identically in cotton embroidery floss on a soft, wool felt ground. You can download the pdf pattern from her web site.

These are so pretty, I want to make an entire basket of them!

Another gorgeous project for Easter is this Chocolate Diorama Easter Egg from LDH at the With a Grateful Prayer and Thankful Heart blog site.

The egg is crocheted in brown and white yarn, and then decorated with embroidered flowers in bright, Spring colors using basic embroidery stitches.

Complete directions for crocheting the egg and working the embroidery are available on the site.

Tiny figures are inserted into the opening in the egg after the stitching has been completed.

Both of these little beauties are sure to become heirlooms!
