Awesome Easter Freebies

Thursday, March 10, 2011

While all of you are busily stitching your Easter Egg for the DMC Easter Contest (I can hardly wait to see who wins the assortment of every color of DMC floss!), I thought I’d share some inspiration and awesome free patterns from the web!

This adorable Easter Wall Hanging from Holiday Crafts and Creations features adorable felt Appliques stitched in place with Embroidery Threads.

The individual blocks can also be used separately!

The Sew Very Creative blog features a free pattern for this adorably girlie Easter chick.

Write and embroider whatever you wish in the oval call-out!

French Knots has posted sweet n’ fluffy Lamb with Daisies pattern to work in surface stitches.

Set the prettiest Easter table ever by embroidering this patternĀ  in DMC Satin Floss on the ends of a table runner!

Diagrams for Basic Stitches suitable for these Surface Embroidery projects can be found in my studio.

Also, be sure to check out the Embroidery Transfer Blog for information on transferring a design such as these onto your fabric using a transfer pen, pencil or transfer paper.

Machine Embroidery enthusiasts can embroider this Easter Bunny and Egg design in DMC Machine Embroidery Thread by downloading the file from the ABC Free Machine Embroidery site.

Select the proper format for your machine from the list on their page.

Enjoy!

The lamb looks just like the lamb painted on the end of my crib when I was a baby. (1965) It is so retro! Love it!

I love the bunny in the egg shaped vine…Do you have the pattern for hand stitching it?

Hi Carlie, This design was created specifically for machine embroidery. However, you could try contacting the designer – the link is in the blog. ~Emma
